Pencils and Hoof-picks an equine assisted learning program

Pencils and Hoof-Picks is designed for children and youth to incorporate academic standards, and engage learners who are struggling to succeed.  We have integrated nationally proven EAL curriculum Cowboy Poetry and Marvelous Minis into this program along with elements of our character development program (Blazing the Trail of Character).  The result is a unique school based program that includes both academic standards and personal growth and development goals!

• and imagination

Learning standards are incorporated throughout this group including vocabulary, math skills, writing skills,and listening and speaking skills. Pencils and Hoof-pricks will be conducted by our treatment team made up of a certified equine specialist, mental health professional, and learning specialist. The team will be able to help teach and develop these skills in a safe and supportive environment which the children see as fun/play and not traditional therapy or learning interventions.
