While the main services offered at Unbridled Change are Equine Assisted Learning and Psychotherapy, Therapeutic Riding and teaching children with physical, cognitive, and mental impairments is a very big part of our Founder's history.

Unbridled Change offers individual Therapeutic Riding Lessons!

Unbridled Change is dedicated to the highest quality and ethical standards.  Our lessons are taught by NARHA certified therapeutic riding instructors. The goal of therapeutic riding is to teach the basics of horsemanship and riding. We strive for riders to become as independent as possible! The lessons also focus on developing physical, cognitive, and emotional/social skill development.

Who can benefit from our services?

Most physical, cognitive, and emotionally disabled or impaired populations can benefit from therapeutic riding. Individuals with the following disabilities commonly participate and benefit from equine facilitated therapy and activities:

How does Therapeutic Riding work?

Horseback riding gently and rhythmically moves the rider's body in a manner similar to a human gait.

While enjoying the fun and engaging activity of riding, the individual improves flexibility, balance, and muscle strength.

During mounted riding lessons a client uses both fine and gross motor skills simultaneously to complete tasks developed in coordination with individual therapeutic goals.

Lesson Program
We have chosen to focus on each client individually at Unbridled Change.  Therefore we currently offer private 45 minute lessons for $35.00 each and semi private (2 riders) for $25 each.  This lesson format allows our instructors the ability to tailor each lesson, meeting the individual needs of our clients.  We find that this creates a safe and supportive environment for your child.  
 
Our lessons typically run in 6 week blocks throughout the year.  Our riders also have the opportunity to participate in local and statewide therapeutic riding shows and traditional shows.

Lessons are running on Wednesday afternoons and evenings starting at 4:30 and Saturday mornings starting at 9:30.
