Unbridled Change is currently running the following programs this winter:

Wranglers

Take Back the Reins - adult and teen

A "Bit" of Support

Hoofprints of a Healthy Herd - parenting program

Farm Days/Customized Services

Our hands-on activities with horses can provide the missing link of traditional classroom based learning curriculums and "talk" therapy models.  Unbridled Change offers the perfect environment to put concepts such as self-confidence, anger management, teamwork, critical thinking, character development, and problem solving skills into practice.  Moving clients from frozen to implementing positive change in their lives!

We are continually running individual and family equine assisted psychotherapy sessions - contact us to find out more information and how to sign-up for our services.

 Wranglers

Our "Wranglers" anger management course.  This 10-12 week course is designed to help children and youth address "triggers" and destructive behaviors that lead to anger outbursts and violence.

Your child will be introduced to new skills and have the opportunity to implement them.  Example of the skills introduced are: respect, being assertive verses aggressive,
problem solving/coping skills, and respecting boundaries.  Clients will gain the skills to communicate their emotions effectively and respectfully.

    Take Back the Reins

"Take Back the Reins" focuses on breaking unhealthy emotional thought/behavior patterns that victims of domestic violence develop to survive.  The same coping skills that were developed for survival (putting up walls, disassociating your mind from your body, isolation, and other dysfunctional coping skills) are the same thoughts that can keep people on the cycle of abuse.  Our program helps survivors confront unhealthy patterns in a safe and empowering environment, providing a turning point in their lives.

This program provides you with a safe and supportive environment to learn how to take back the reins, gain ownership, and establish positive control over your own life!

    A "Bit" of Support

Unbridled Change has developed "A 'Bit' of Support" 12 week programs and workshops that are designed to target each individual situation and to provide a support group that focuses on educating and developing positive coping skills for significant transition points throughout one's life.  The program is based both on the 5 stages of loss and William Bridge's Transition Theory.

During the program clients will be involved in interactive activities with horses designed to help:

    • express the wide array of emotions they are dealing with,
    • recognize and accept those emotions
    • develop positive coping skills
    • and develop a support network from within the group.
If you are looking for a unique and different approach to discovering coping skills that will work best for you, in your world, and your life contact us today - we are here to support you and to provide you with an empowering, natural environment to find strength.

    Hoofprints of a Healthy Herd

Unbridled Change has developed combined our "Who's the Leader of your Herd" our parenting program and our "Take Back the Reins" program, to help families develop the skills needed to develop a healthy family in which children can remain in the home verses being removed and placed into foster care.  The program is designed to target each individual situation.  It begins with individual sessions typically focused on the parents around past trauma and how it has impacted their thought and behavior patterns.  During the second phase the program shifts in a support group that focuses on educating and developing positive coping, parenting, and boundary setting skills with their families.
