Change is Constant

Aug 10, 2019

I love fall!  Leaves changing colors, cooler crisp mornings, and the horses are starting to get their soft fuzzy winter coats. There is something comforting about watching the seasons change and the movement and rhythm that comes with those shifts.  It helps remind me that everything is always in constant motion and nothing will remain frozen in time forever.  There is a rhythm and passing of “seasons” in our own journey through life too.

The Law of Constant Motion

Changing seasons sparks a connection to the universal Law of Constant Motion for me.  Caroline Myss teaches that the Law of Constant motion is also connected to the fifth chakra.  Her theory works around the universal truth that everything is always moving – energetically, physically, spiritually – there is always a synergistic motion working to bring balance to our life, body, and mind.

The Fifth chakra is our power center for our personal will and how we express it.  It makes perfect sense that the Law of Constant Motion is associated with this personal power center.  Every choice we make, how we express that choice, listen to the response of the world to it, and reflect on our will is always changing.  There isn’t one moment that is the same as the last.  The choices we make from moment to moment are paired with how we relate to our will and the world around us.

Like all spiritual/universal laws once our heart hears them we can’t really unlearn them.  They tend to sync up with our system quickly.  However, sometimes our minds can find them harder to embrace then our heart!  This one, I have to admit, I had to sit with a bit before I was ready to embrace it fully.

So what do you do when you feel the changing of the seasons tapping, knocking, and/or sometimes kicking down the door?

In this week’s vlog I share a three step process I use in my daily practice to try and help bring balance to my life when I become aware that I might be in a power struggle with this law. 🙂

Change comes with a mixed bag of joy, excitement, worry, fear, unknown, and sometimes grief and loss for what is on its way out.   As we move physical seasons, it presents us with a great time to reflect on where you are at on your growth journey.   So here are the questions I ask myself during Step Two that I mentioned in the above video.

  • Are there pieces of your inner or outer world that are calling for a shift, or a change?
  • Are there “fruits” of your labors that are ready to be harvested?
  • Are there anchors that are holding you back and creating stagnate energy in your life?
  • What might be the first step you can today to bring you closer to balance with the universal law of constant motion?

Please share your reflections and action items with us below – you never know what the ripples might bring to someone else.  It just might help another find the strength and courage they have been asking for!

Sending light and love – Michelle
