Stage Two of the Unbridled Change Method – Loving Your Authentic Self

This week I’m picking back up on part three of four of my personal healing journey.  (in case you missed any of the past blogs you can find them here – part one or part two)

The next stage that horses helped me build a foundation for was learning how to actually love my life in its entirety – the good times, the not so good times and even in what can seem like the ugly and rougher moments.

Okay, so I am just going to be honest here.  I have found that for myself, and many of my clients, that the process of opening to love and healing the blocks we have to being able and willingly to give AND receive “love” is some of the hardest and most rewarding work a person can do on their healing journey.

Also, I want to give you a point of reference this is what LOVE means in the context of the Unbridled Change method:

L – Let it be
O – Opening to all
V – willingness to be Vulnerable
E – Experiencing all – happy, sad, mad, joy, passion, fear, disappointment, excitement – you name it, you are willing allow the experiences to flow with what is verses blocking, grasping, resisting and so on.

This stage definitely tests my resolve and desire to stay overall present, willing, and open to life when what is happening in that moment isn’t really something I care for or would “choose” to be experiencing.

However, there is a key element that I have learned that really unlocks you from the prison of struggle and avoidance into having the ability to be in flow with loving your authentic life and purpose.  The key is learning how to understand and heal what Caroline Myss calls the survival archetypes:

  • the child,
  • the victim,
  • the prostitute,
  • and the saboteur.

A couple key highlights of the Loving your Life Stage –

Looking at your capacity to strengthen your:

  • willingness,
  • developing and aligning with your values,
  • and your ability to take compassionate action toward love.

Next up, Part 4, I’ll share about how I embraced stage 3 of the Unbridled Change Method – leading your authentic life!

Sending light and love on your journey — Michelle
