Introduction to Mindfulness for Kids and Teens
Sep 28, 2019
Having a strong body, mind, and spirit connection isn’t just for adults, it is also something that can benefit the whole family! Having a family holistic wellness routine can help us all:
- reduce emotional and physical stress,
- clear and focus our minds,
- and improve our body’s energy and physical health.
I’d love to share the article I just wrote for Growing Up in Valley (now Roanoke Valley Family) in the April issues. In the article I share some of my favorite kid and teen centered resources to help your learn how to create a holistic wellness program for the whole family!
Check it out here.
Also we just wrapped up filming our new free mini-video training series on “Introduction to Mindfulness for Kids and Teens”. In this 3 week training we share how we introduce and teach our clients and families at Unbridled Change about the concept and skills of mindfulness/meditation. We highlight three different types of mindfulness skills and guide you through two kid friendly activities each week:
Week One – Mindful Movement – Get that body moving and increase self-regulation skills
Week Two – Mindful Body Awareness – Bringing awareness to what our body is trying to tell us
Week Three – Mindful Breathing – The greatest stress management tool we have is free and with us all the time, our breath!
Click here to sign up for this free mini-series and learn 6 of our top go-to-activities we use with our clients almost every week!
Sending light and love on your journey — Michelle
