The Purpose of Incarnation...to Engage!

One of the Mystical Laws of Creation is, thought creates form. And according to the prevailing thought put forward by Albert Einstein all forms are made up from energy, which cannot be destroyed or created, only transferred from one form to another. 

This week I'm continuing with Part Two of a four part mini-series of how to liberate your innate birthright as a Being of Creation. In Part One, we explored the myths that hold so many of us back from igniting our ability to be in connection with our own inner sparks of inspiration that carry new thoughts and ideas that want to take form within and through our lives. 

This week we are building off the momentum you gained from compassionately challenging those myths and walking with the second Stage of Creation, our willingness to fully engage that which we have created and/or are creating. 

In my upcoming book, The Sacred Witness Oracle Guidebook, I share a little story about how our hidden protective mechanisms can keep us from engaging based on fears of loss, scarcity, comparison, and hidden desire to try and control divine chaos. The story comes from a moment of awareness that I had when I was working on writing the card description and reflection practices for Card 32 - Engage in Deck. 

In the middle of writing the card descriptions for all four stages of creation, I had a somewhat shocking moment of awareness as I was getting ready to go and feed the horses. I had reached down to put on my barn boots and had a sudden spark of inspiration hit me that perhaps I was not engaging as much in my life as I thought. My eye was drawn to a new pair of muck boots that were sitting next to the old worn out pair I was in the middle of reaching for. I had to laugh when I realized that I had a Part of me that was not willing to engage with wearing a new pair of muck boots that I had bought almost a year prior. The pair I was reaching for had literal holes and cracks in them where they were separating from the sole. While I had taken the inspiration to buy the new pair of boots, and even unboxed them and put them in the mud room, for some reason I wasn’t actually engaging with them. For almost a year, I just kept reaching for cracked boots even though I would end up with wet muddy socks from the holes. Day after day I just put on the old ones and grumble about having cold wet feet and muddy socks. 

This might seem like a silly example but it really is a perfect example of how we withhold ourselves from fully engaging in our life and the creations that we both currently have and could create in the future. For many of us, we are able to take thought and allow ourselves to incarnate, give form, to that choice. We start a project, create a relationship, work toward getting that job, or give ourselves permission to carve out time for a hobby. However, allowing that form to be in our life or reaching that goal is only step one. The next question or potential stumbling block is are we willing to continue to infuse our life force energy fully into engaging that “form” freely with an open heart? Are we willing to be in a courageous connection with that which we incarnated? OR do we hold something back, restricting ourself from fully feeling, celebrating, and being with the form that we created. Keeping the new boots new, and never letting ourselves move into daily life with that “shiny” new creation. 

Healing Tip: Remember we don’t do any for giggles. I wasn’t truly making an active choice to not wear the new boots. I had every intention each day to swap over to them, but something would redirect me back to the old pair day after day. This is because our Mental Being and its protective mechanisms are trying to keep us safe, to minimize the potential disappointment, loss, or humiliation we might feel if the form that we create does live up to our expectations, is somehow taken away, or judged as less then. 

The result is we hold ourselves back in a subtle way just like I was doing with the boots.

When this card comes forward it is asking you to pause and reflect on the different ways, small and big, that you might have protective stories and habits withholding you from fully engaging in connecting with the different forms of creation in your life right now in an open soul-led way.

Highlighted Soulful Practice based on the Card 32 from the Sacred Witness Oracle Guidebook and Deck: 

This week I set the intention to sense, see, hear, and know when I am being asked to engage more with my life.

I ask for Reiki energy to help guide my Attention to ways in which: 

• Parts of me are nervous or judging the way in which I want to engage;
• Parts of me are yearning to engage and calling to me lean in and open more to an experience or creation;
• And parts of me are stuck, lost in an inner battle of fears of what ifs and logical reasons as to why I should hold back or disengage. 

Allow this awareness to help you engage in both inner soulful conversations about what are behind those protective fears AND seeing if I can soften those attachments and step into committed action to be with, engage, and connect with my life and what is calling to me this week.
