Reading and Invitations for 2024 – Balance and Action

This year, I felt guided to do a Numerology Reading and Invitations for 2024. Numerology is one of many different divination tools that works with archetypal patterns. Numerology specifically works with the archetypal patterns and symbolism of numbers and how they interact with us personally and the collective.

We are coming off a 7 Ruled Year and moving into a year governed by 8. 

Here is a quick basic look at the year 2024 from a numerology point of view.

For those who wish to understand the formula behind these numbers, it involves breaking down each number and adding them together repeatedly until you reach a single number or a master number. So, consider the year as individual numbers:

Here is how you do the calculations:

2 + 0 = 2
2 + 2 = 4
4 + 4 = 8

Therefore - 2024 is an 8.

Bridging from the Rulership of 7 to Rulership of 8

I just recorded a mini-reading and reflection prompts to help you begin to work with the upcoming ruling energies of the year. I hope it is helpful to you!

Highlights from the Reading:

•  2023 was under the rulership of the 7 – the philosopher, the seeker, the visionary.
•  2024 is under the rulership of 8 – the great Karmic equalizer, bringing forward themes of how we work with balance and power. 
•  A key theme of the 8 is understanding that pressure is always a part of creation. 
•  You can either partner with the 8 or it will work itself on you. The choice point is yours. 

Selection of journal and reflection prompts to partner with 8 as your guide:

• What are you feeling called to create or to bring into balance in the coming year?
• Reflect on areas that you feel a sense of “pressure”. Remember, 8 energy uses the ebb and flow of the figure eight to be in stillness, gathering energy, building pressure then channeling and allowing that energy to flow toward a focus point, where it passes through that focus point back out into expansion, dispersing, building all over again. 
•  Look at the different areas of your life or one area and see where this energy might be at work. 
•  What stage of the cycle is it in, and why?
•  How are you working with this energy – resistance, procrastination, anger, resentment OR dedicated actions, clean compassion, and self-leadership.
• Do you feel any nudges to shift from stillness into movement and if so, what are they?
• Do you feel any nudges to shift from movement into stillness and is so, what are they?
• What intentions do you have bubbling up for how you would like to partner with the Ruler of the Year – 8?

Remember, with this number is not one that sits ideally by. Archetypally, the 8 calls you into both reflection and action – either way, it wants you to consciously walk with it, partner with it, and harness its power to shift, change, release, and create.
